Tyra Banks doesn’t look like Tyra Banks in her latest photo shoot… but that’s kind of the point. The supermodel transformed herself to look like Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, Kate Upton and other iconic models for a new project called 15.
Tyra said that she’s been working on the project for more than a year and the she knows that the photos will just “blow people’s minds.”
The supermodel said that the new exhibit is comprised of photos that were not re-touched or photoshopped. The black and white images feature Banks posing in different outfits in order to mimic her fellow models.
Banks said in a press release: “15 is a series of un-retouched black and white photographs that capture Banks transformed into the embodiment of the iconic images of her colleagues, competitors and friends.”
The photographs, which were taken by Udo Spreitzenbarth, pay tribute to iconic models like Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Lauren Hutton, Jerry Hall, Iman, Kate Moss, Twiggy, Brooke Shields, Claudia Schiffer, Carmen Dell’Orefice and Grace Jones. Banks also transforms into current models like Kate Upton, Karlie Kloss and Cara Delevigne.
Tyra will also pose as herself when she was 15-years-old.
The 15 exhibit doesn’t officially open until Monday, September 9 at Jack Studios in New York City but Tyra Banks has posted a few teaser images onto Twitter.
