Trump On Twitter: Admits Sharing ISIS ‘Facts’ With Russia, Says He Asked Comey To Find Leakers Of Intelligence

President Donald Trump seems to be fighting for his life on Twitter, with a series of tweets published to the official and verified Twitter account of the “ Real Donald Trump ” addressing the explosive Washington Post report discussed by Greg Miller, a National Security Correspondent for The Washington Post , in the below video with CBS This Morning . Miller stated that he would not reveal the sources that claim President Trump gave classified information to Russian leaders during their recent visit to the White House, a visit that was roundly criticized for allowing no U.S. photographers, but allowed a Russian photographer in the Oval Office with equipment that led to folks asking if the Oval Office was bugged as a result, as reported by the Inquisitr .

In the wake of the melee, President Trump posted the following series of tweets, claiming that as president of the U.S., Mr. Trump wanted to tell Russian officials via the openly scheduled White House meeting certain facts about terrorism and flight safety via airlines for “humanitarian reasons” so that Russia could fight ISIS.

“As President I wanted to share with Russia (at an openly scheduled W.H. meeting) which I have the absolute right to do, facts pertaining…to terrorism and airline flight safety. Humanitarian reasons, plus I want Russia to greatly step up their fight against ISIS & terrorism.”

However, there’s a much different story coming out of other circles, as reported by The Atlantic .

The publication notes that if President Trump did in fact share information that was deemed highly classified with the Russian foreign minister and ambassador, it was an appalling act of disclosure. The news organization called top secret codeword data something that is no laughing matter to be passed on to Russian officials like so much political fodder.

Intelligence information is classified as “Confidential,” noting that classification as something that the public might already be privy to, over to “Secret” to “Top Secret” to the top-secret codeword information that’s even more sensitive than all the rest. President Trump’s alleged sharing of codeword information with Russia could be a dangerous act if given to the Russians, who are being described as the antagonists to the United States’ protagonists in a Shakespearean “all the world’s a stage” political setting.

With President Trump having fired FBI Director James Comey, and on the heels of that shocking dismissal came the news about Mr. Trump allegedly sharing secrets with Russia in a potential fit of Oval Office bragging, Trump has responded with the below tweet on Tuesday morning, claiming he had been requesting Comey and “others” find the leakers in the “intelligence community” since he became president. Presumably, Mr. Trump is speaking about the CIA or other members of the intelligence community.

“I have been asking Director Comey & others, from the beginning of my administration, to find the LEAKERS in the intelligence community…..”

As a result of the alleged actions of President Trump, which claim he shared codeword information with Russian officials, H.R. McMaster made a statement to the press on Monday, May 15.

The top photo above gives viewers an inside peek into the West Wing of the White House, where President Trump can be seen on the television displaying MSNBC news coverage.

Meanwhile, as Miller told CBS This Morning that the information gained from Washington Post sources about President Trump’s alleged actions is holding up as other publications research the same news, Mr. Trump is getting varied reactions to his latest tweets.
