We don’t get everyday insights on the First Lady, Melania Trump, and how she behaves when she’s not in public. We have seen her supporting Donald Trump in his political endeavors. But, we seldom know about what she is like in her everyday life.
With her lesser appearance in public, she has been able to maintain a mysterious persona, and that doesn’t help people understand her. Trump’s special envoy, Richard Grenell, says the same thing, as he states she has a few problems, and that’s why she is so misunderstood.
Grenell is a close friend of the First Lady, and he reveals what many don’t understand about her. During Trump’s second time as president, she was absent from the public eye. She has made very strategic appearances while skipping several. This adds to her mysterious persona but also backfires in a way that people misunderstand her. In public, she also exudes a serious persona who does not speak much.
However, according to Grenell she has a humorous side that not many people get to see. She is very “funny, witty and quick” in real life, he told Politico. This shows how present and smart she is. Grenell shares how her smile can melt people. It makes them feel relaxed. The two have a nice friendship and he appreciates how she is with Trump.
Besides, he also speaks about the current issue with her image. He says there are two major problems and one of them is her not being a political person. He says she’s a fashion icon, businesswoman and a former model.

But now she is thrown into a new political world and the fashion world isn’t a part of it. He says that political world doesn’t understand her fashion background. Secondly, most of the fashion people are intolerant towards her too as they can’t report on republicans. He iterates how strong and funny she is despite all the criticism.
Grenell also talked about how the first couple was booed at the Kennedy Center performance last week. They attended the Les Miserables performance and were booed as the two sat on their seats.

Grenell also talked about cast members boycotting the performance. While drag performers were cheered on. He says no one should be booed on or banned from somewhere. This may be due to Trump pledging to scrap off the “woke programming” at the institute as it goes against the American values calling it an anti-American propaganda.
Grenell is sure that this type of intolerance towards Trump comes from the left. Moreover, he denied any dip in the ticket sails and subscriptions since Trump has taken over. Grenell is also the executive director of the Kennedy Center so he knows the inside details.
