In recent years, there have been many different motion pictures developed that deal with disillusionment in some way, shape, or form. At first glance, the first official trailer of Tomorrowland starring George Clooney and Hugh Laurie will make you think that you are watching the same type of movie all over again.
However, there are several key points that you need to keep in mind which will effectively help you to keep your perspective as far away from those “other” movies as much as possible.
Perhaps one of the biggest points to consider is the fact that this is a Disney movie.
Walt Disney Studios always seems to find a way to take what you think you know about a certain movie or genre and completely change it around. You might have already become comfortable with the disillusionment factors of such movies as The Secret Life of Walter Mitty or even, to some extent, the Christopher Nolan-directed Inception . However, with Tomorrowland , Disney has been able to take what you love about those types of movies and completely send them through the roof of expectations.
As you can see from the trailer of this highly-anticipated film, Disney has basically used Tomorrowland to break through the boundaries of the moviegoer’s imagination by blending those movies together in a mix with a somewhat updated version of Alice in Wonderland – the blonde girl that is unexpectedly lured into a world that she doesn’t understand but is also captivated by at the same time.
To make this movie was also an absolute genius business move by Disney as well since it was basically used to indirectly promote one of the newest addition to their parks, which is named none other than “ Tomorrowland .”
Getting A-list actors such as George Clooney to star in this type of movie doesn’t hurt anything either. However, it truly does seem as if this movie will be a huge box-office success no matter who they put in the actual film as actors, actresses or even directors.
