Are Tom Cruise and his assistant getting married?
This is a question that seems to be on everyone’s lips, and speculation about a possible marriage between the two is rampant. The 53-year-old actor could soon marry — according to several media sources — his assistant, Emily Thomas, who is over 30 years his junior.
Tom Cruise and his assistant have been the subject of intense rumors for months. It was in November that rumors began to circulate reporting that the pair had been flirting during the filming of Cruise’s upcoming action-flick, Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation .
“He’s always flirting with her,” a source allegedly told Us Weekly . “Most people on the film have noticed how into her he is.”
The source went on to say that Cruise and Emily seem to be a perfect match and that Tom has come to rely on Emily, requesting that she be on all his upcoming projects.
At 22, Emily shares more than a 30-year age difference with Tom Cruise , 53, but this seems to have no impact on their budding romance. Friends of Tom even believe that the couple could become very serious. According to reports, their wedding could take place in December in London.
“Tom is totally smitten with Emily… He adores her,” adds the source .”No matter how long the workday is, they’re always laughing and having fun. Tom has made it clear that to his team that he wants Emily to work with him on all projects… no one who knows him would be surprised if he proposed!”
Tom Cruise is definitely not the type to take his time to find out what he wants. Some might recall when Cruise proclaimed his love for then-girlfriend Katie Holmes — after only two months of dating — by jumping on the sofa during a taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show.
In 1987, the Hollywood star married producer Mimi Rodgers — a marriage that died after 3 years. In December, 1990, Cruise married Nicole Kidman, and the couple adopted two children. After Cruise and Kidman divorced in 2001, the actor then met Katie Holmes, whom he married in 2006 in Bracciano near Rome, before divorcing in 2012.
