Tom Brady may have been clashing with Peyton Manning this weekend, but wife Gisele Bundchen was actually in much more famous company — His Holiness, the Dalai Lama.
The 34-year-old took her kids Benjamin Rein and Vivian Lake to meet the religious leader, who cupped the boy’s face in his hands and bowed to his head.
Gisele was clearly moved by the moment and shared a picture of it with her Instagram followers.
“What an inspiring and kind man … Grateful for this magical moment,” Bündchen captioned the photo on her Instagram.
While his wife was meeting the Dalai Lama, Brady was preparing for what was the most-anticipated football matchup so far this season. Brady’s Patriots, who were all but written off after a blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, have since gone on a tear, winning four straight.
On Sunday, they faced Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in what many believe could be a preview of the AFC Championship Game. If it is, then Brady can rest assured as he and the Patriots dominated . Brady threw for four touchdowns and no interceptions in a 43-21 rout.
After the game, Brady said he tries to emulate Manning in his own career.
“He has always set a real high bar for how to play and I have tried to do the same through my efforts with my team,” said Brady. “The only thing I really care about is the respect from my team, going out there and trying to earn it.”
While the win was a perfect end to the weekend, there were other highlights for Tom Brady and his wife, starting with Halloween festivities on Friday night. The quarterback and his wife got into the spirit of the night, dressing up as dragons from the movie How To Train Your Dragon at the request of 4-year-old Ben.
