Tim Tebow Works Out At USC, Hopes For NFL Comeback

Tim Tebow isn’t giving up his dream of playing quarterback in the NFL just yet.

A few weeks after being cut by the New England Patriots, the former NFL starter was seen at the University of Southern California this week working on throwing drills . It appears that Tebow is staying in playing shape should he get a call from an NFL team.

After Tebow’s release from the Patriots, his avenues to the NFL seem all but closed. Coming off a disappointing season with the New York Jets, Tim Tebow appeared to be headed out of the league until his surprise signing by Bill Belichick and the Patriots. If anyone could find a use for the unconventional Tebow it would be Belichick, observers noted, but in the end the team didn’t find a spot for him on the roster.

Tebow will likely have to wait and stay in playing shape, hoping that he will get a call for a backup job should one of the NFL starters go down. But even then he has stiff competition, with former starters like Matt Leinart and Tavaris Jackson still available in free agency.

If fans had anything to say, Tim Tebow could be a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Close to 20 fans showed up for a rally on Monday, urging the team to sign the former University of Florida quarterback .

Though the Jaguars have been a popular point of speculation for Tebow’s future and even put a bid in for the quarterback when Denver put him on the trading block in 2012 (Tebow chose New York instead), the Jaguars have now stated they have no interest in signing Tebow.

Tebow may also have a future in the NFL as a tight end or H-back but has reportedly said he will only consider playing quarterback in the NFL.

If he’s set at playing quarterback on a football field again, Tim Tebow may have one option left. A Russian team just offered him $1 million to play in two playoff games.
