Four women were shot at a hair salon in Casselberry, Florida Thursday, the Orlando Sentinel reports. Three died, and the condition of the fourth victim is currently unknown. The gunman committed suicide shortly after the shooting at a home nearby.

The women worked at Las Dominicanas M & M Hair Salon on State Road and were shot around lunchtime. Three were pronounced dead at the scene while the fourth was taken to an area hospital. Casselberry police say the gunman left the salon and went to a home several miles away on Paradise Lane before turning the gun on himself. Neither the names of the victims nor the name of the gunman have been released.

Police believe the shooting was domestic-related but have not officially confirmed this theory. However, two women who say they are related to the gunman said he wanted to be romantically involved with one of the women who worked at the hair salon.

The relatives, a cousin and an aunt, said the shooter had been acting erratically, and they told one of the victims to get a restraining order. They also said they warned the man to stay away from her.

“My cousin, he’s been having problems. He’s mentally not there. We’ve been telling her, just keep away from him, keep away from him. Get a restraining order,” the cousin of the gunman said. She said they had been keeping away from him four months.

Juan Diaz, a Metro PCS employee, said he was with customers when they heard four shots coming from the salon. Diaz said:

“We saw the guy with the gun in his hand … coming this way … on foot with the gun in his hand. When we realized the guy was gone … we went in the hair salon. And once we were in the hair salon we just saw a bunch of dead bodies. Four people shot. Three people dead. Not a good thing.”

Police spokeswoman Heather Smith said the gunman arrived at the home on Paradise Lane shortly after 11 am. The couple that lives there said they were friends of the shooter and that he had problems.

“They were some problems that he felt like he couldn’t remedy,” Smith said
