Season 6 of AMC’s The Walking Dead is fast approaching. Over the last week, a large amount of promotional images have hit the internet. Now, with only two and a half weeks to go until The Walking Dead premieres, AMC has released the synopsis for Episode 1.

According to Carter Matt , AMC’s synopsis for Episode 1 of The Walking Dead is as follows.
“Rick and the group are still having trouble assimilating into Alexandria. Will a new threat bring them closer together or drive them further apart?”
SpoilerTV has also stated Episode 1 will be entitled “First Time Again,” although, as yet, there is no official announcement on this. But, if this is the title, HNGN speculated that it could relate to Rick and Morgan finally meeting up again, having only done so once briefly since season 1.
As for the threat mentioned in the synopsis, it is possible it is referring to the Wolves ,thanks to Season 5 placing references to them throughout the second half of the season. However, something else they could be referring to is the massive walker herd that has been mentioned repeatedly during promotional interviews surrounding Season 6 of The Walking Dead . According to various reports, this herd will attack Alexandria, possibly in Episode 1 of Season 6 of The Walking Dead . However, thanks to a time hop , this attack on Alexandria will be an event that occurs some time after the Season 5 finale and will then work its way back to that point.
As Den of Geek reminds us, Season 6 of The Walking Dead will premiere with a special 90-minute episode. Talking Dead will follow after that with their breakdown on the premiere episode of Season 6.
