The Originals will return to CW this fall with Season 3, and the writers are hard at work on the scripts for the season ahead.
Joseph Morgan let the writing staff know exactly what he thought of the new scripts for Season 3 by sending the writing staff a trio of gifts. A member of the writing staff posted a photo of his gift on Instagram with the caption, “Thanks for the fire extinguisher, @JosephMorgan. What does that say about the scripts you’ve read?”
Joseph Morgan replied back to the tweet, and it is a good sign for fans of The Originals waiting for the arrival of Season 3.

According to Latin Post , Julie Plec revealed on her Twitter on June 8 that the writing staffs for her three series were back at work. She spent 18 hours on that first day gathering ideas for The Originals Season 3 , The Vampire Diaries Season 7, and her new series, Containment .

There are big changes coming for the new season of The Originals . Davina will be in charge of the witches, and this could mean big trouble for Klaus and his siblings, according to a previous Inquisitr report.
As for Klaus, fans will continue to see things develop between him and Cami, but a romance is not in the cards for the pair just yet. It is a possibility as the series continues to progress.
Season 3 will air on Thursday nights. It did air briefly in that time slot before the network moved the series to Monday nights. The series will now join The Vampire Diaries .
Since The Originals spun off from The Vampire Diaries , the series has developed into a solid series in its own right. It is no longer just a spin off series. Some of the characters may have started on The Vampire Diaries , but the story has taken on a life of its own.
Season 3 will take the series in an entirely new direction. It is obvious that Joseph Morgan is pleased with the direction the writers have decided to go in for Season 3. Fans will have to wait until October to find out what the writers have planned for the residents of supernatural New Orleans.
