Teresa Giudice Spent Heavily Ahead Of Sentencing

Teresa Giudice was living large ahead of her recent sentencing for fraud. Although the Real Housewives of New Jersey star was due in court on October 2 to face jail time, that didn’t stop her from staying on top of her looks just one day prior — even if it meant spending a ton of cash to look her best.

According to a new report, Giudice blew over $1,000 at a high-end boutique in New Jersey on October 1.

“[Teresa Giudice] purchased an expensive Byron Lars coat,” a source close to Giudice told Radar Online on November 10. “She went to a store in Franklin Lakes and bought it like it was no big deal.”

And she didn’t stop there.

“She got her eyelashes done at Nisha Spa in Wayne, New Jersey, the day before court, too,” the source said, noting the procedure costs $125, before tip.

As for why Giudice would spend so much to look good in court, the source claimed the reality star wasn’t expecting to receive jail time.

“Teresa thought she was going to walk into court and just get probation,” the source explained. “She wanted to look good [for the sentencing].”

At her sentencing, Giudice not only received a 15-month prison term, she also was ordered to pay $414,588 in restitution, and Joe, who the Inquisitr reported has been boozing hard , was required to pay over $400,000, as well. However, the reality pair will have to pay their designated amounts separately. As TMZ reported on October 12, the Giudices have been required to keep their finances completely separate until their prison terms have been served, and their restitution has been paid.

Oddly, just two months before Teresa Giudice’s shopping spree, a source claimed she and Joe were experiencing money troubles.

“Teresa and Joe were broke, broke, broke before Just Desserts gave them a loan for $50,000 in late August,” an insider told Radar on November 7. “There was no money to put gas in the family fleet of luxury vehicles, including Teresa’s Mercedes. There were legal fees to pay, and of course, Teresa’s glam squad consisting of hair dresser and make-up artist, were going to be needed for their work on her sentencing day.”

As the Inquisitr reported earlier this month, Giudice will reportedly return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey for one more season before entering prison.
