Is Maci Bookout pregnant and engaged? According to a new report, the Teen Mom star isn’t engaged quite yet but if all goes as planned, she may be getting a diamond ring at the end of next year.
“Before I got pregnant, we talked heavily about marriage — and we still do, but I don’t want to be a pregnant bride. That would be way too stressful!” Bookout told In Touch Weekly , according to a Radar Online report on December 30. “Plus, I want to be able to have fun at my wedding.”
Instead, Maci Bookout said she’s planning for a late 2015 engagement to her boyfriend of about two years, Taylor McKinney, a motocross racer.
“Obviously, I wish we would have been married first, but everything will come together afterwards,” she explained.
As she prepares to return to Teen Mom for the show’s fifth season, Maci Bookout is a bit concerned about how fans will react to her second pregnancy. Although she and McKinney have been together for a while now and are both mentally and financially ready for a child, the reality star worries she may be judged for having a second child out of wedlock.
“I’m a bit apprehensive — I just hope people don’t judge,” she admitted. “We are a little bit scared people might not be as supportive as we want them to be [because we’re not married], but I hope they are.”
One person who’s on board with the news is Bookout’s son Bentley, 6, from her previous relationship with Ryan Edwards.
Bentley is “beyond excited,” Bookout said. “He’s already nicknamed the baby Bubby.”
As for what the baby’s name will likely be, Bookout said she was considering June or Harley.
As the Inquisitr reported on Monday, Maci Bookout, who is 16 weeks pregnant with a baby girl, was unsure if she’d ever get pregnant again after she was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) shortly after the birth of her first child.
“We still can’t believe it,” Bookout told In Touch Weekly (via the Daily Mail ) on December 29. “It was a huge shock but we are very excited. This baby is such a blessing. I’m calling her my miracle baby. I knew my chances of getting pregnant were very low.”
For the last few months, Bookout, along with her co-stars Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood, has been filming scenes for Teen Mom .
Maci Bookout and the cast of Teen Mom will return to MTV for Season 5 in 2015.
