Teen Mom 2 star Kail Lowry and her husband, Javi Marroquin, were seen on the “brink of divorce” during the season 6 trailer, and ever since, the couple has been denying rumors of an impending split. In her latest interview, Lowry revealed she and Marroquin went through a hard time while filming Teen Mom 2 season 6, but confirmed they got through their “really rough patch.”
On July 7, the Teen Mom 2 star revealed the following to Us Weekly :
“Ultimately we made it through. I just think it was trying to get on the same parenting page with Lincoln, and Lincoln was probably only 6 months old [at the time], and I think it was easier for me to make friends in Delaware, because I would go to my breastfeeding support group, CrossFit, stuff like that. And for him, he’s at work all day.”
Adding to the tension between him was Lowry’s growing relationships with other men. While the Teen Mom 2 star was never unfaithful to her husband, or gave him reason to think she would be, Marroquin questioned her about one particular instance, and the emotional moment was caught by Teen Mom 2 cameras. Amid the strain of their relationship, Marroquin’s mother and sister sat him down and intervened.
“There was a point where I was like, ‘You’re going to go to work one day and me and the kids are going to be gone,’ but I think there was a turning point when his mom and his sister sat him down, and they sat him down and they were just like, ‘This is what it is. We’re surprised that she hasn’t left you,’ kind of deal.”
The Teen Mom 2 star went on to reveal that while it “takes two” in a marriage, Marroquin was “contributing more to the arguing” than she was.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the Teen Mom 2 star has grown extremely frustrated with the drama surrounding their relationship on the show. Following a number of rumors, which claimed her marriage to Marroquin was all but over, Lowry took to Twitter, where she insisted she and Marroquin had worked through their issues . At the same time, Lowry spoke highly of her husband, and encouraged tabloids to focus on the good instead of the bad.
