According to Ted Nugent, Stevie Wonder is “brain-dead” for defending “hoodlum, dope-smoking, Trayvon Martin.” Nugent made the bold statement during Boston radio show PM in the AM.

Nugent has made it clear that he disagreed with the prosecution of George Zimmerman in Trayvon Martin’s death. In a WND article, Nugent stated that Zimmerman was falsely accused and that the prosecution was driven entirely by race.

Zimmerman, he contends, was an innocent man who was attempting to defend his life. Nugent continues, explaining that Trayvon Martin was “an enraged black man-child” and a “dope-smoking, dope-peddling, gangsta wannabe, Skittles hoodie boy.”

Zimmerman’s not guilty verdict pleased Nugent. However, Stevie Wonder was disappointed with the Jury’s decision.

As reported by Mediaite, Wonder announced that he will no longer perform in Florida, or any other state, where Stand Your Ground laws exist. Although the law was not a factor in the Zimmerman verdict, it was mentioned several times throughout the case.

In response to the announcement, Ted Nugent called Stevie Wonder brain-dead for defending Trayvon Martin.

As reported by Huffington Post, Nugent criticized Wonder for focusing on the Zimmerman case. He suggested that Wonder could better serve the public by focusing on other issues.

Specifically, Nugent stated “700 black people, mostly young children and young people were slaughtered in Chicago last year by black people, and not a peep out of Stevie Wonder.”

Nugent rarely feels the need to keep his opinions to himself, and this case is no exception. Despite his biting criticism of Wonder’s decision, Nugent has offered to keep “Stevie Wonder and all these other numnuts” in his prayers.”

The fact that Ted Nugent called Stevie Wonder brain-dead is not entirely surprising. If anything, it is just another chapter in Nugent’s continuing rant.
