Taylor Swift has persuaded Apple to reconsider their Apple Music streaming service plan with the power of an open letter to Apple Music via Tumblr/Twitter .

As the Inquisitr reported, Swift wrote an open letter to Apple’s new streaming service after they revealed that artists would go without money for three months due to its free trial period to consumers.

An excerpt from the powerful letter includes Taylor addressing Apple, “This is about the new artist or band that has just released their first single and will not be paid for its success. This is about the young songwriter who just got his or her first cut and thought that the royalties from that would get them out of debt.”

She continued, “This is about the producer who works tirelessly to innovate and create, just like the innovators and creators at Apple are pioneering in their field… but will not get paid for a quarter of a year’s worth of plays on his or her songs.”

Taylor went on to point out the three-month free service would be a huge thing to swallow for artists who rely on royalties to survive. “Three months is a long time to go unpaid, and it is unfair to ask anyone to work for nothing. I say this with love, reverence, and admiration for everything else Apple has done … But I say to Apple with all due respect, it’s not too late to change this policy and change the minds of those in the music industry who will be deeply and gravely affected by this.”

As the Inquisitr reported, with the help of Swift’s letter, Apple reversed their decision. After the news broke that Apple was reversing their decision, we now have Taylor’s reaction to the groundbreaking news.

I am elated and relieved. Thank you for your words of support today. They listened to us.

Swift’s boyfriend DJ Calvin Harris also tweeted his support to Taylor after the decision was made.

Apple’s senior vice president of internet services, Eddy Cue, also took to Twitter to announce the news.

We hear you @taylorswift13 and indie artists. Love, Apple
