Taylor Swift, 25, and Lorde, 18, are literally laughing off reports that they are feuding. In fact, Taylor took to Twitter to slam the rumors and says that she’s still good friends with the “Tennis Court” singer.
Swift tweeted on Monday, April 6: “Media, when you say ‘Lorde & Taylor are fighting’ – by fighting do you mean ‘FaceTiming constantly from US to NZ and LOLing at you’? Thnx bye.”
The tweet received over 31,000 retweets and 86,000 favorites on the social media site.
Lorde responded: “Sisters are doin’ it for themselves @taylorswift13.”
That’s a good way to put an end to those Taylor Swift and Lorde feuding rumors.
Taylor Swift was referring to a report from OK! Magazine claiming that she was feuding with Lorde in the recording studio. It was supposedly her idea to record a song with the singer, but Lorde refused saying that their voices didn’t “mesh well” together.
Taylor didn’t allude as to whether or not she is recording a duet with Lorde. But it looks like these best friends hardly have enough time to see each other as they live on the opposite sides of the planet , according to Perez Hilton . When they are together, Taylor and Lorde love taking hikes in Los Angeles, embarking on a beach vacation on Catalina Island, and partying at Taylor’s Rhode Island mansion. Just because they are apart doesn’t mean they’re feuding.
Rumors have also been swirling that Swift is causing a rift between Camila Cabello and the four other girls in Fifth Harmony. Swift thinks that Cabello, 18, should leave the group and make it on her own. A previous report on the Inquisitr also noted that the two girls were spotted in New York City early last week. Not only does Swift have a penchant for much younger best friends, but she also loves to mix business with pleasure.
The Hollywood Life reported that Taylor also has a new man in her life . She was recently spotted holding hands and cuddling with Calvin Harris at a Haim concert on April 2. Several concert goers said that Taylor and Calvin couldn’t keep their hands off each other.
“They were all over each other. He had his arm around Taylor at the show the entire time. They were laughing, kissing and were really into each other. They were dancing and just having a really fun time. They definitely weren’t hiding their affections.”
