Taylor Swift has broken a Vevo record with her video for Bad Blood . The song and video have received mixed reviews since its release earlier this week, but that has not stopped millions of people watching it on YouTube. The 25-year-old singer took to Twitter to make the announcement and thank her fans for watching.

Bad Blood was Swift’s chance to get a number of high-list celebrities in her video. It all starts with her and Selena Gomez fighting together and then against each other, and moves onto cameo appearances from the likes of Ellen Pompeo, Jessica Alba and Cindy Crawford. However, the cameos did not overshadow the short video and—for some listeners—a poor quality of song.

It is possibly due to the number of negative reviews that Taylor has broken the Vevo record for highest number of views within a 24-hour period. According to CBS , Nicki Minaj originally held the record with 19.6 million views on her video Anaconda back in August 2014.

There had been many Taylor Swift fans excited for the video. Throughout the week leading up to the release of the video, she had hinted at a number of celebrity cameos through her Twitter feed. Instantly, fans of the singer and fans of the celebrities wanted to see what the hype was all about. It could have been a case of too much hype for the video.

However, that has not stopped people wanting to give the song a listen. Spotify reportedly would like to see Taylor Swift back on the music streaming service, possibly especially since it is now opening up the option to stream video. The New York Post states that Daniel Ek is up for a reunion with the singer , and was disappointed when Swift left the service.

There were battles over the amount of royalties that artists get from the music streaming service. Taylor is not the only artist to refuse to allow her music to be used. CEO Ek believes that he could have convinced her to stay had they had the time to sit down together and discuss the situation last year. He says the door is always open for her to come back, but that is unlikely considering she found more people bought her new album after pulling it from the service.

For now, Spotify will not be getting access to the video for Bad Blood or even the music. Taylor Swift will allow it through Vevo, so fans get the chance to watch all the celebrity cameo appearances.
