Taylor McKinney visited a jewelry store declaring he was ready to buy an engagement ring during last night’s season finale of Teen Mom OG . However, as the episode continued, no proposal was revealed.
In recent months, Maci Bookout has been very clear about her desire to marry Taylor McKinney, both on the show and in the press. The couple has been dating for over two years, and with a baby on the way, things are obviously series. Still, McKinney appears to have reservations when it comes to marriage.
During the Teen Mom OG finale, as reported by Us Weekly on May 26, Taylor McKinney was a bit cruel to his pregnant girlfriend, teasing of a surprise in the nightstand. While Bookout likely thought the surprise could be an engagement ring, it was not. Instead, the surprise was a Bud Light for McKinney.
“Guess you’ll have to stay tuned” he teased.
Although Taylor McKinney has yet to pop the question, he does have one major thing working in his favor, when it comes to settling down and starting a future with Bookout — her baby daddy, Ryan Edwards, is a fan. While chatting with a friend last night, Edwards spoke of Taylor McKinney, and despite his past history with not getting along with Bookout’s boyfriends, he appeared to be in full support of McKinney.
“She’s in a really serious relationship with the guy that she’s having a baby with. His name’s Taylor, and he’s a great dude. Couldn’t ask for better with that. Gotta put up with her until Bentley’s at least 18, but really for the rest of my life. So I really hope they seal the deal because he’s a really good dude.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Bookout spoke of her desire to marry Taylor McKinnney months ago. During a Teen Mom OG special, via Wetpaint Entertainment , Bookout gave her thoughts.
“We definitely want to marry each other. I definitely want to marry Taylor. But at the same time, to me marriage is about wanting to get married because you want to marry that person, not because you’re pregnant and you wanna rush into it.”
Bookout has sparked engagement rumors a number of times in recent months, as she’s been sporting what appears to be an engagement ring on her finger.
