New Britain, CT — Tawana Bourne, the gun-toting Chuck E. Cheese mom , today entered a not guilty plea in Connecticut Superior Court on the charges pending against her.

In the February 4 incident that occurred in Newington Conn., Bourne allegedly got into a dispute with another woman at the popular kids’ pizza-and-play joint and pulled a loaded a .380 semiautomatic handgun on her. The two women, who reportedly had children with them, were separated before any harm took place fortunately. Police were called to the scene.

As The Inquisitr has previously reported, Bourne, 30, and a mother of two, was charged with breach of peace, three counts of risk of injury to a minor, and one count each of threatening in the second degree and reckless endangerment in the first degree. Bourne holds a valid Connecticut pistol permit.

She is due back in court on March 26 for the incident at the pizza eatery .

According to Hartford Courant , Bourne works in social services:

“Bourne founded a non-profit, Middletown-based organization called Healthy Home Healthy Child, which works with parents on crisis prevention and intervention. It is one of several organizations that reach out to children with which Bourne has been involved.”

Following the incident, Chuck E. Cheese indicated it was reviewing its security procedures. The restaurant chain already prohibits firearms on its premises even for those who have permits, with warning signs posted in each store.

Immediately after the arrest for allegedly brandishing a gun at Chuck E. Cheese, Tawana Bourne denied the allegations and said “I’m a very good person … very, very involved in the community,” the Courant reported.
