Taco Bell booze?
You read right! Taco Bell will start selling alcohol for the first time in the U.S. in the coming months.
According to Bloomberg Business , Taco Bell will be offering beer, wine, and “mixed alcohol freezes” at their new location in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood. The fast food chain already sells alcohol at several locations in South Korea, Japan, and Spain, but this will mark the first U.S. store to offer booze.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the new restaurant will also have a more modern look, with an urban feel like their restaurants in Tokyo, Seoul, and the United Kingdom.

“We’re building a completely new urban restaurant design in Wicker Park, and will have more information available closer to our opening this Summer,” a spokesperson told the Huffington Post .
Bloomberg reports the new designs will feature “kitchens that are more open and serve much of their food in baskets to showcase ingredients.”
“This design is focused on simplifying and modernizing the restaurant experience,” the company said in a statement.
Taco Bell, known for its Dorito Loco Tacos and other unique creations, is owned by Yum! Brands Inc., which also operates Pizza Hut and KFC. They currently have over 6,000 Taco Bell restaurants in the United States and approximately 250 worldwide.

Speculation around the possible Taco Bell booze location has been going around since last month when it was reported that a liquor license application had been submitted for the location of the new Taco Bell at 1439 N. Milwaukee. There is currently no word on what stage of the process to obtain the license the restaurant is in. It is known, however, that the location will not be open 24/7.

The alcoholic drinks will only be served inside the restaurant and will be provided in different cups to distinguish them from soft drinks, Time reports .
