Ordering a finger-licking chalupa has just got a whole lot easier.

Taco Bell is finally blowing the whistle on its much-anticipated delivery service — according to an announcement made Wednesday in conjunction with DoorDash . The fast-food giant is finally putting its big boy pants on, as it plans to enter the delivery market and take on both Burger King and McDonald’s.

According to Business Insider , Taco Bell’s new delivery service will be available in nearly 100 cities and over 200 restaurants in Texas and California. Among the select cities that will deliver, beginning today, includes the San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Dallas.

Moreover, the delivery cost will be a flat-fee of $3.99. Meanwhile, delivery could take 38 minutes to reach your doormat — delivery hours run from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., so you got plenty of time to get your Taco Bell fix on.

Tressie Lieberman, VP of Innovation and On Demand at Taco Bell, has stated that its new delivery service will be “a test” and also a “learning experience” for the on-demand economy, CBS reports . She followed up by saying as follows.

“We’re thrilled to partner with DoorDash and leverage their like-minded commitment to customer service and innovation. This partnership enables us to provide consistent quality service and the feedback we need to elevate the delivery experience and evaluate where Taco Bell delivery goes next.”

The announcement came in a form of a press release , where Brian Niccol, Taco Bell CEO, gave the following statement in regards to its new service.

“Delivery is yet another example of how we’re using technology and innovation to respond to consumers’ wants and needs, further evolving the Taco Bell experience for customers.”

And as always, social media is reacting to the news.
