SUR Lounge is down one waitress after Monday’s new episode of Vanderpump Rules .
Following last week’s dramatic confrontation between Kristen Doute and the SUR Lounge manager, Diana, Doute found herself in trouble with her bosses, including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump, and was eventually let go from the staff.
In her February 2 Bravo blog, Doute opened up about her last day at SUR Lounge, her love of boyfriend James Kennedy, and her former friend Katie Maloney.
“I saw Lisa, Diana, Natalie, Guillermo, and Ken all sitting in the room together, and I just knew it. Part of me was getting ready to walk in and like strip my SUR dress off right then and there and say I quit, but I wasn’t going to put one more notch in the bed post if you will. It’s sort of bittersweet. I knew my time at SUR was really over.”
Although Doute is no longer employed at SUR Lounge, she doesn’t visit the restaurant often. On Twitter, after a fan asked her if she ever paid her former bosses a visit, she explained the following.
“Yes! @itsjameskennedy DJs there on Wednesdays.”
While Doute and Kennedy’s relationship was tested during season three, mainly because of her obsession with Tom Sandoval’s alleged cheating in Miami, the pair are still together and doing great.
“I love seeing James in his element. Nothing makes him happier than making music. He literally gets off on the vibe that you’re doing something really cool that people are enjoying, and watching him DJ–it does that.”
Also on Monday night’s new episode of Vanderpump Rules , as the Inquisitr previously reported, Tom Schwartz admitted to making out with another woman while dating girlfriend, Katie Maloney. After learning the news, Maloney slammed Schwartz for his failure to act like a grownup and demanded he sleep on the couch — and Doute couldn’t have been more proud of her former best friend.
“That’s the Katie that I was best friends with for so many years. The Katie that was no bullsh–. To say, I love you and I respect and I can understand you, but I don’t deserve this. You made a mistake. You’re sleeping on the couch. Like, good for you, Katie. I really was proud of her in that moment.”
