‘Star Wars’ Meets ‘Batman V Superman’ In Twitter Mashup, This Time From J.J. Abrams

The Star Wars, Batman v Superman mashup that has been going back and forth on Twitter continues, but this time the genius image comes from Star Wars Episode VII director J.J. Abrams. He is continuing what Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’s Zack Snyder started a few weeks back.

Snyder threw fans in a frenzy just prior to San Diego Comic Con with an image of his Superman, British actor Henry Cavill, dressed as a Jedi, holding a lightsaber. Nobody was sure what the very cool photo meant — we still don’t — or if Snyder was just playing around and getting everyone pumped for the comics convention.

Most believe it was the latter and Snyder was just playing around. Reports have surfaced that the director is so fierce in protecting Batman v Superman on set photos from being leaked, that he has asked his main cast to wear a black robe around set, when not involved in a scene. If you look closely, you can see Henry’s Superman costume under the robe. Whatever the reason for the pic, it is really cool.

Next, Snyder had a couple more things to share prior to Comic Con. A close up of Ben Affleck in his Batman costume — which is just a better look at the photo that was originally posted by Snyder in May, revealing for the first time the much talked about costume — and more importantly, he shared a photo of Gal Gadot.

Before introducing Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot during the Batman v Superman panel at Comic Con, nobody had seen Wonder Woman in full garb. Zack Snyder rectified that and shared this cool photo of Wonder Woman for all to enjoy and at the same time, calmed many fears related to the superhero.

But the goodies didn’t stop with the end of Comic Con, Snyder shared his second Batman v Superman meets Star Wars photo of Batman and R2 D2. More coolness and more speculation. What could all this mean?

Apparently Star Wars Episode VII director J.J. Abrams has been paying attention (lucky for us they both use Twitter, at least sparingly) and keeping the game alive. His production company @BadRobot shared a reverse Star Wars, Batman v Superman mashup photo, where C3PO appears to be dressed as Batman, lurking around in Gotham City, in this super cool shot.

What do you think of all the Batman v Superman, Star Wars mashups photos shared by Zack Snyder and J.J. Abrams?
