Is Stacey Dash really clueless? Clueless seems like an understatement. Dash has once again become relevant in the news and on social media after her recent appearance on Fox and Friends . When on the show speaking about the #Oscarsowhite hashtag and Oscar Boycott, Stacey said she believes that segregation is the reason for all the racial division in Hollywood. Her solution to end the diversity issues in Hollywood is to cancel Black Entertainment Television (BET) and axe Black History Month.
However, Dash just doesn’t understand why she is receiving so much backlash, when actor Morgan Freeman said the exact same thing in 2006. Stated in US Weekly , Stacey Dash wants an apology from the public for not attacking him the way she’s been attacked on social media recently.
“It’s time we decide as a society whether we want to care about race or not. Like Morgan Freeman says, there is no White History Month and there should be no Black History Month. Black history IS American history.… You want racial healing and reconciliation? You want true equality? Listen to Morgan Freeman – Stop. Talking. About. Race.”
Social media did sound off on Stacey Dash’s comments but The National has reported that The View co-host host, Whoopi Goldberg, responded directly to Stacey’s comments by speaking to why Black History Month and BET are important. The conversation came up when one of the other The View co-host asked Golberg her thoughts on the matter.
The thing is, [black history] is not taught. Asian history is not taught in school as it pertains to America. American history holds all of us, and [Dash] is right in that, yes we are all Americans, but we’re not all treated like Americans. One of the reasons that there is a BET is because networks wouldn’t take a lot of shows that has an all-black cast,” she said.
BET actress Gabrielle Union also chimed-in and gave her thoughts on Stacey Dash while at the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of the film The Birth of a Nation .
“Who’s that? Who’s Stacey Dash? Is she like related to Dame Dash? Was she on Roc-A-Fella (Records)?”
“The more that we focus on inclusion and a true representation of this country, I think that crazy lady will have less to say,” Union said of Dash.

Stacey Dash’s cousin, Damon Dash, does not have her back whatsoever. He told Dr. Boyce Watkins in a video interview that he believes that his cousin is being paid by Fox news to act and say things that would be considered anti-black. You can watch the full interview here
Stacey Dash is passionate about bringing down the BET empire that she took to her website to denounce the network, demanding that Black Americans realize that BET has been lying to and brainwashing them into believing that the rest of America is racist. She is confident that BET is scared of her exposing the truth about their lies and
“And they’re absolutely mortified that someone like me – an independent-thinking black woman – dares call their bluff.”
In her quest for equality, Stacey Dash will not accept defeat. As far as she is concerned, her haters are no threat to her. She feels she owes it to her children to speak out and educate them on the truth without fearing backlash.
“Let’s stop taking our marching orders from Democratic slave drivers. They have taken our votes and repaid us by ruining our colleges and large cities. They are responsible for #OscarsSoWhite.”
