The long rumored love affair between Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo has taken a new twist. Apparently, the couple was spending time together in Indonesia, Bali, till June 11.
According to eye witnesses at a certain unnamed resort in Bali, South Korean stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have been spending a considerable amount of time together. The couple was also accompanied by other friends.
The news of the SongSong Couple’s vacation spread like wildfire on social media, with users posting redacted images of the duo in Bali. The redaction, however, questioned the veracity of the photographs as the actors’ faces were never shown.
Netizens, however, jumped to their defense, pointing to the fact that Song Hye-kyo’s longtime friend Kris Gap too had posted scenic photographs of Bali on his Instagram account. This has possibly confirmed that there is some truth to the rumor.
According to Twitter feeds, the couple did not take the flight together. A video posted on social media captured Song Joong-ki at Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport trying to take a return flight to Seoul. Song Joong-ki returned to South Korea on June 12, just in time to prepare for his Battleship Island press conference, which was held on June 15.

Fans are hoping that Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo will announce their engagement this year. In his interview with W magazine a few months back, actor Song Joong-ki made it clear that he wished to get married and start a family.

By a stroke of coincidence, Laneige, on its Facebook page, let it slip that Song Hye-kyo might tie the knot this year. In January, Laneige congratulated its brand ambassador Song Hye-kyo on her upcoming nuptials with her ‘oppa.’ Since then fans started to piece together the details of their relationship. Although Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have been denying having any romantic liaison with each other, rumors of the pair resurfaced after the KBS Drama Awards on December 31, where the duo was seen gushing over each other.
Song Hye’kyo’s fans on Instagram said that the actress has been hanging out with her girlfriends, possibly hunting for bridesmaids for her upcoming wedding.
In an odd coincidence, Song Joong-ki also recently bought a house in Itaewon for $8.9 million. Buying a new house could easily signify the actor’s eagerness to settle down.
Neither the actors nor their agencies have commented on the couple’s wedding plans so far.

Nevertheless, fans are optimistic that their favorite SongSong couple would tie the knot soon.
