Some of us get dizzy and sick on amusement park rides like the “Slingshot.” Others, well, just watch this video and you’ll see exactly how much fun the Slingshot can be — for the ladies, at least.
Just one caution, based on this video, the Slingshot may be the first R-rated amusement park ride in amusement park history. Yes, some of this video — the audio, anyway — could be considered mildly NSFW.
In other words, you might want to do exactly the opposite of the women taking the Slingshot ride in this video, and keep the volume down. Produced by the always amusing Fark.com , this video compiles the highlights of quite a few viral videos that have revealed women riding the Slingshot, all experiencing the same reaction.
And what reaction is that? Well, let’s just say that the description of the ride provided by the manufacturer doesn’t quite do it justice.
“This innovative Slingshot amusement device is by far one the most exciting vertical amusement rides available today,” says the Australian ride-maker, Funtime. “Slingshot passengers are propelled over 100 meters at speeds in the region of 160 kilometers per hour.”
For our American readers, 100 meters is about 110 yards, and 160 kph is 100 miles per hour. Yikes!
One thing we find we find a little weird. The women in this compilation video all take to the ride in pairs. But in each case, only one of them seems to have the, uh, very excited response that we’re talking about. The other woman, in every case, just seems a little puzzled.
