Shannon Beador and her husband, David, revealed David’s affair during last week’s Real Housewives of Orange County Season 10 premiere. One week later, Shannon Beador’s co-star, Lizzie Rovsek, revealed to Radar Online that she knew about David’s infidelities for months.
“I knew there were some things going on,” Rovsek told the site of Shannon Beador’s husband’s cheating on June 15.
“[Shannon Beador] is a good friend of mine. We talk about things that are close to us and there are certain things that, when you a really good friends with someone, you keep to yourself.”
Shannon Beador and Lizzie Rovsek joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Orange County for Season 9, following the exits of Alexis Bellino and Gretchen Rossi. However, while Shannon Beador has continued on with her full-time role, Rovsek was seen only in a part-time role during Season 10.
As for why Shannon Beador’s secret was kept away from the public, Rovsek explained she would never betray her friend.
“You don’t go and talk about it to other people and you keep your mouth shut. Not everybody does that.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Shannon Beador’s co-star, Tamra Barney, also knew about David’s affair prior to it airing on the Bravo reality show. During an interview with OK! Magazine earlier this month, Barney revealed she learned of David’s cheating last year, a short time after it happened.
“I knew about this last year. I knew that David was having an affair last year.”
After revealing Shannon Beador likely felt the affair would be taken public, Barney claimed she decided to share the information with Bravo cameras.
“I think that it’s great of her and scary at the same time for her to share that with everybody. She could’ve easily brushed it under the rug and said, ‘Oh it’s a lie.’ But the truth of the matter is it’s very real.”
Now, about a year after learning of her husband’s affair, Shannon Beador and David are reportedly doing well.
“They’re doing well. I respect Shannon for bringing it up. It’s a tough subject to put out there on the air. It shows how real the show is that Shannon was willing to lay it out on the line. We’ll see what else is exposed.”
