Shannon Doherty’s Malibu estate recently sold for $2,275,000.
The actress, best known for her role as Brenda Walsh, the girl you loved to hate, on the ’90s drama Beverly Hills 90210 , listed her home in February for $2,595,000.
Doherty purchased the Malibu home , which sits on a quarter of an acre lot in Malibu Country Estates, in 1998 for an undisclosed amount. After the housing market crashed, Shannen somehow managed to avoid foreclosure on her home after receiving delinquent notices in 2009, 2011, and 2012, saying that her house was in default and would be sold at public auction, according to Yahoo Homes .
The ocean-view single-story home, listed with agents Chris Cortazzo and Tara Switzer of Coldwell Banker who also represented the buyer, was built in 1977 and features a large living room with a wet bar and fireplace. The kitchen opens to the family room and is also complete with a fireplace. A formal dining room is also included. The 3,600 square-foot home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, with the master suite featuring high ceilings and three (yes, three) closets.

Outside of the sliding doors, you can see a wood deck along with a lagoon-style swimming pool and spa , according to the Los Angeles Times .
While she had to settle for fifteen percent less than her asking price, she still didn’t take as large of a loss as her fellow actress Sarah Jessica Parker, who recently sold her New York townhouse.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Sarah Jessica Parker’s and Matthew Broderick’s loss on their townhouse totaled a whopping $745,000.
The couple purchased their 150-year-old townhouse in Greenwich Village for $18,995,000 in 2011. In 2012, they decided to sell the house, listing it at $24.99 million. Last summer, they made the decision to lower their asking price to $22 million. There most recent price tag totaled $19.95 million. Although they tried to make a profit off of their luxurious New York home, the couple had to settle for a lower offer of $18.25 million, taking a loss of $745,000.
