While Selena Gomez had said in the past that kids don’t even know who she is, she recently came across a video of a little girl enjoying and dancing to her music.
It turns out Gomez has fans from every age spectrum, as the video — taken by the little girl’s father — shows her dancing in the car to Selena’s latest release, “Same Old Love.”
Selena Gomez tweeted the video early Saturday, showing the little girl, caught by her father on his cell phone, doing the moves and singing along to the lyrics. She couldn’t resist posting it as soon as she heard about it.

The video shows the little girl in the back of the car, making her moves and singing while dad pops his head into the frame, ironically smiling.
E! News thought back to an interview they had with her when she was promoting her film Hotel Transylvania 2 . At that time, Selena Gomez, 23, thought that kids didn’t know who she was anymore and that it made her sad.
“You know kids don’t even know who I am anymore.
“It made me so sad [because] I was literally doing an interview with this little girl…and I was like, ‘You know, when I did the show I was on,’ and she goes, ‘What show?’ I was like, what’s happening? I’m getting old!”
At the time, E! News were asking her thoughts on a Wizards of Waverly Place reunion, and Selena Gomez said that they had just talked about that, adding, “I loved my show. I’m so proud of it. I miss them. I just had dinner with David Henrie. It’s just the best. I loved it. It was such a good real time in my life.”
Seems like Selena doesn’t need to worry anymore, as it appears she has a whole new generation of young fans coming into the mix.
Meanwhile, as reported on Just Jared , Gomez has been doing the rounds of London and Paris, promoting her upcoming album, Revival .
Speaking of the album, Selena Gomez said that it’s all part of her story and how she is “growing and changing.”
“I was in a relationship, and I was being managed by my parents, and I was still under Hollywood and Disney, and I was being held to this expectation of being the good girl.”
She said that deep down she knew this is what she wanted to do and that she had been exhausted by “forcing something that wasn’t right,” even in her personal life. She added that there were moments she was crying and asking herself, “Why am I not in love with what I do?”
Now it seems her choices are right. Selena Gomez is heading onward and upward and is even adding very young fans to her faithful followers.
