It was rumored that Selena Gomez was coming out with her own reality show and that Kris Jenner was the brains behind it. Now a new report is claiming that it’s simply not true even though other reports are still talking about it. So is Selena Gomez getting her own reality show or what?
The rumor was started by OK! Magazine as usual. The tabloid claims that Gomez, 22, wants to do her own reality show because she’s “tired of being seen as Justin Bieber’s lovesick ex.” The tabloid also claims that Kris Jenner is producing Gomez’s new show. An alleged source said that Jenner is convinced that the reality series will be a “hit” on the E! Network .
“Selena Gomez is tired of being seen as Justin Bieber’s lovesick ex, so she has hatched an idea for her own reality TV show. Kris is convinced that they could have a hit on their hands, she is serious when she tells Selena that her show could cause the Kardashians’ ratings to dip.”
It sounds like that same insider spoke with HollywoodLife because it was the next news source to receive this exclusive report. The celebrity gossip site claims that the rumors about Gomez and Jenner working together are true.
“Kris did approach Selena about working together. She threw out a number of ideas including getting Selena involved in a reality show. Kris wants to work with young, talented people and thinks she could help Selena boost her career.”
The HollywoodLife report also noted that the reality series is not in the works as of yet. Is it because it doesn’t exist? It turns out that Gomez isn’t even interested in having her own reality show after all.
“Selena respects Kris so she listened to her, but as of now she’s not interested. Selena has her sights set on one day winning an Oscar and a Grammy so a reality TV show would not be the right move for her now.”
A new report from Gossip Cop is claiming that this rumor is completely false. An insider close to Gomez says that the reports about her new reality series are “not true.” Gomez’s other sources also told Gossip Cop that the report is “absolutely ludicrous.” OK! Magazine also turned out to be the same tabloid that claimed Jenner was Gomez’s “new manager,” and suggested that the entertainer go under the knife to change her image.
That hasn’t stopped other news sources from reporting about it though. Some are speculating that Selena Gomez’s new reality show would be a “ career suicide .” Celebrity Dirty Laundry doesn’t think that Selena should link herself to Kris Jenner’s name if she wants to be taken seriously in Hollywood. In other words, she should stick to singing and acting.
