Scheana Marie and Mike Shay may be calling it quits on their marriage after just over two years.
Ahead of tonight’s premiere of the fifth season of Vanderpump Rules , news has hit the web claiming the couple’s marriage is on the rocks due to Shay’s possible drug relapse.
“Michael did not return home on Wednesday night, and [Scheana Marie] feared his past with prescription drugs might be to blame,” In Touch Weekly magazine revealed to readers on November 5, adding that the reality star cleaned out the bank account he shares with Scheana Marie just two days later.

Scheana Marie and Mike Shay tied the knot during the fourth season of Vanderpump Rules after getting engaged during Season 3. Then, during Season 4, the couple was seen at odds due to Shay’s alleged struggles with an addiction to prescription medication. During the show, Scheana Marie was seen revealing her marital struggles to Lisa Vanderpump — her friend and boss at SUR Lounge — and to her friends Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney.
“Everyone thinks of us as the perfect happy couple but there are issues,” Scheana Marie said, according to the In Touch Weekly report. “I’m so confused… he’s been drinking so much lately and just like, self medicating… and this isn’t making him happy.”
While Scheana Marie and Mike Shay appeared to be on the verge of divorce at that point, they ultimately reconciled their marriage and in January of this year, Shay was said to have gotten clean.
Although Scheana Marie and Mike Shay were doing well after filming Season 4 and appeared to be doing well throughout Season 5, their relationship is believed to have come to a major halt in the last week and Shay’s whereabouts remain unconfirmed.
Despite the bleak outlook on her marriage, Scheana Marie has remained active on social media and recently shared a couple of Vanderpump Rules -related tweets with her fans. In one tweet on November 6, Scheana Marie posted a photo of herself and her co-stars, including Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, Ariana Madix, and Brittany Cartwright, and told fans they were her girls . With a second tweet, Scheana Marie mentioned tonight’s premiere episode of Vanderpump Rules Season 5.

TMZ was first to report news of Scheana Marie’s possibly impending divorce and Shay’s disappearance.
“Scheana Marie and Michael Shay could be on the express train to spiltsville, now that she’s telling friends he disappeared with their money,” the outlet revealed to readers last week. “The Vanderpump Rules star got scared when her husband didn’t come home last Wednesday. She thought it was odd because a close friend had just died, and she was very upset. Mike’s history with prescription drugs also escalated her concern.”
When Scheana Marie was unable to locate her husband, she cut off his credit cards, but days later, she discovered her checking account was empty and believes Shay was responsible for their lack of funds. Since then, he has been missing in action as Scheana Marie continues to travel and promote the new season of Vanderpump Rules .
While Scheana Marie has been active on social media, Shay hasn’t shared much in recent weeks, aside from promotional tweets about his music.
