Scandal may be juicy on screen, but behind the scenes may be just as “scandalous.” According to Celeb Dirty Laundry , actress Kerry Washington, who plays fan favorite leading lady Olivia Pope, and her on-screen love interest Scott Foley, who plays Jake Ballard, are allegedly feuding .
According to the report, Kerry and Scott have a tense relationship on set and allegedly don’t like each other very much. While fans love Foley’s character Jake Ballard, the season finale of Scandal showed Jake saying goodbye to Olivia as he told her to go get the man she truly loved, President Fitzgerald Grant.
The latest issue of Star Magazine details Washington and Foley’s bad blood on set could cause the character of Jake Ballard to be written off the show.
“Sources say Kerry Washington’s tense relationship with on-screen boyfriend Scott Foley is what got his character riddled with stab wounds on the season finale. While Scott has assured fans that he will be back next season, he also has hinted that Shonda Rhimes said the end is near.”
“Kerry is a very take-charge gal, but Scott is a veteran actor with his own opinions, and many of them rubbed Kerry the wrong way. Scott knows that Kerry is tight with Shonda, so he sees the writing on the wall. He wouldn’t be surprised if he got killed off early this fall.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , Scandal nearly killed off Jake Ballard towards the end of Season 4, and fans really believed that he was dead. However, he pulled through. Was his near death a side effect of Scott Foley’s alleged feud with Kerry Washington, and if they’re still arguing will we see Jake leave the show in Season 5?
Meanwhile, when Scandal returns this fall, fans will have their eyes on Jake’s character, but also on the character of Huck. Vine Report claims that Huck could be teaming up with none other than Olivia Pope’s evil father, Rowan, whom viewers watched finally get put behind bars in the Season 4 finale.
Of course, fans know that we haven’t seen the last of Rowan and he’ll be furious with Liv for putting him in jail. He’ll want to get back at all of those involved in his incarceration, and continue to teach his daughter his wicked lessons that keep shocking fans of the show each time.
