The one question on every fan’s mind going into the Scandal midseason premiere is “What happened to Olivia Pope?” after she was taken in the winter finale. The latest spoilers out tease that those answers are coming.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kerry Washington had tweeted that the Scandal midseason premiere is “Unlike Anything We’ve Ever Done. [sic]” TVLine has shared new spoilers teasing that where Olivia is will be answered sooner rather than later.
“You won’t have to wait long for an answer to the question, ‘Where in the world is Olivia Pope?’ And I think you’ll find her whereabouts alternately shocking and hilarious.”
Scott Foley added to that and echoed that sentiment when he revealed to TV Guide that fans will discover “pretty quickly” who took Olivia .
“The physical kidnapper we have not met before. We don’t know that person. We just know [Andrew and Lizzie] are behind it. It has to do with all the stuff going on in West Angola.”
Speaking more on the subject, in an interview with Time , Foley teased that “who kidnapped Olivia” on Scandal is “so good.”
He also spoke about the Jake/Olivia/Fitz love triangle and admitted that “sometimes” he wishes that Jake would “just cut and run.”
“But not really because as much as all the fans think Olivia and Fitz are meant to be, I think that Jake truly believes that Olivia is the one for him. As frustrated as he can get and as much crap as he can take from Olivia, I think that he needs to stick it out, you know? He needs to make sure that she sees what he knows to be the case. But keep your fingers crossed for Jake. One way or another, we’re going to find out what happens with the three of them.”
ABC has released a couple of promos to tease fans about the Scandal midseason finale. The shorter one just recaps the moment that Jake left the room and then returned with the pillows to find Olivia gone. It only took 25 seconds. Watch that below.
A newer promo with new footage shows that same scene, only it follows Olivia instead of Jake and shows what led to the scene he came back to find. Someone comes in and grabs her and she drops her wine glass, spilling its contents on the couch. Olivia tries to fight back and grabs the doorframe, but she’s taken. Then Olivia is shown running through a hall. Just look at her hair! Watch this Scandal preview below.
