Looks as though Sandra Bullock had the real Michael Oher in mind when she decided to take her son Louis Bardo to the Super Bowl XLVII game. The two showed their support during the game for the offensive tackle by joining the footballer’s family, while cheering him on from the stands.
Sandra Bullock starred as Michael Oher’s adoptive mother, Leigh Anne Tuohy, in the film The Blind Side , which chronicled Michael’s struggle with poverty, and being taken into the Tuohy family as their own as a teenager.
Bullock was spotted carrying her son, Louis, who was seen wearing a mini version of Michael Oher’s jersey. It must have brought the team some good luck because the Baltimore Ravens defeated the San Francisco 49ers 34-31.
Since the film, Bullock has kept in touch with Michael Oher, and has even caught the same spirit of the no-nonsense Leigh Anne Tough. In the past Oher said: “It’s funny. I’ll get texts [from her] during the game: ‘why did they do this. They should have done that.’”
Since the release of The Blind Side , Oher has decided to pen his own book called “I Beat the Odds: FromHomelessness to The Blind Side and Beyond.” The book is said to be co-written by sports writer Don Yaeger. Of the film The Blind Side , the Super Bowl champ said, “It’s a great story.” However, Oher continues, “People who see the movie think they know all about me. I have more personality.”
The Blind Side , which was based on the novel by Michael Lewis, earned Sandra Bullock her first Oscar for Best Actress.
