A San José stabbing early Wednesday morning has left one man dead. Police stated that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing.

According to The San Francisco Chronicle , the incident began when a fight broke out inside Johnny V’s nightclub at 31 East Santa Clara Street. San José police responded to a call around 1:18 am with a report saying that someone had been stabbed, according to Officer Albert Morales.

On arrival, police found one individual suffering from at least one stab wound which was the result of an alleged verbal argument that started inside the nightclub and spilled outside. According to the San José Mercury News , the victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to a local area hospital and was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.

This is the third stabbing to take place in San José in the past week. The Inquisitr recently reported on two separate stabbings, one that took place on February 6, and the second taken place on the seventh. The first stabbing took place as a result of a heated argument that took place across the street from Cesar Chavez Park .

Police identified the stabbing victim as 26-year-old Jason Rosario. The man was described by police as a local homeless man who was stabbed to death just outside the Fairmount hotel in downtown San José. Police responded to a 911 call around 12:20 am of a man suffering from at least one stab wound. Rosario was taken to the hospital where he laid down later died of his injuries.

In the second stabbing, police say a man was found hanging onto life after being stabbed only blocks away from where the first stabbing occurred. Police responded to this second stabbing around 2:50 am on Friday, February 7. According to Police Sargent Heather Randol, these two attacks seemed unrelated to each other, despite how close they were. In the first stabbing, police believe Rosario didn’t know his attacker. In the second attack, the unidentified man did seem to know his attacker.

In this third attack, San José police say that witnesses who saw they attack were able to point out the alleged attacker as he tried to leave the scene of the attack. According to KCRA, police then arrested the suspect . It is unclear whether or not the suspect and victim knew each other prior to the alleged stabbing. The suspect and the victim have not been identified at this time.
