The press events are typically held to announce the latest products and gadgets like the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note line of phones.
Sources close to Samsung told the Business Insider that the Galaxy S6 will be made from metal. That’s a departure from its previous Galaxy S phones, which were made out of plastic. There will also be a version of the Galaxy S6 phone with a curved screen, similar to the Galaxy Note Edge that was launched last year. The Galaxy S Edge will also be unveiled at the event as well.
Sammobile is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung S Edge will be available in four new color options : dark blue, blue-green, gold and white. White and gold are common colors for Samsung’s flagship smartphones, according to GSM Arena . Dark blue and blue-green are obviously new colors for Galaxy S users. Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed the colors, but Sammobile has been on the mark when it comes to the Galaxy S6 rumors.
The invitation doesn’t give much detail about the Samsung event. But it does give users a glimpse at the rumored Galaxy S6 device. The invitation features a curved metal shape with the message, “What’s next?” It’s been rumored that metal will be new part of the phone’s design. Samsung also plans to announce a new smartwatch with a rounded design, according to several sources.
