The Samsung Continuum wins the prize for this weeks most leaked phone and now Samsung has finally decided to confirm the Google Android 2.1 based Smartphone, announcing plans to begin shipping the Verizon Wireless support phone on November 11th.

If you’re unfamiliar with the unit, it features a secondary front-side screen that sits at 1.8-inches that is referred to as the “ticker” for the ability to show quick news stories, Facebook updates and other options that are sure to come to be developed without turning on the full power hungry main display. Samsung has even included a special “Grip Sensor” which allows users to lightly grip the bottom sides of the phone to light up the ticker. The ticker sits directly below the devices 3.4-inch Super AMOLED primary display, the same crisp output found on the Samsung Galaxy S.

The phone also comes loaded with a Samsung 1GHz Humminbird processor, offers a six-axis sensor with an accelerometer and comes equipped with a a 5 megapixel camera that shoots still photos alongside 720p video.

In terms of internet connectivity the phone offers 802.11n WiFi, which will help power the Bing Maps / Bing Search which comes on the phone (probably my least favorite part of the device).

The Samsung Continuum also offers an included 8GB microSD card.

You can pick your Continuum up on November 11th for $200 with a two-year calling plan + data. However you’ll have to pony up $300 and rely on a $100 mail-in rebate.
