Proving what the majority of us already knew, Ryan Gosling has once again showed the world that he’s pretty much the coolest guy around. As previously reported by the Inquisitr , the creator of the viral vine series “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal” passed away over the weekend after a long battle with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. In a heartwarming tribute to McHenry, Gosling posted a moving tweet to McHenry’s family and friends.

My heart goes out to all of Ryan McHenry’s family and friends. Feel very lucky to have been apart of his life in some small way.

He then, in the ultimate tribute to the “Ryan Gosling Won’t Eat His Cereal” meme creator, finally ate his cereal, and posted it on Vine, the website where McHenry’s viral Gosling videos originated.

Ryan Gosling didn’t stop there though. It was recently revealed through a Facebook post by McHenry’s grieving girlfriend, Joanne McGuinness, that Gosling sent her a beautiful bouquet of flowers along with his condolences.

“My darling, flowers arrived today with a beautiful message about how wonderful you are,” she wrote “they were from Ryan Gosling, looks like you are best buds! You made this all happen so when I look at them I know that they are really from you. So thank you, I love them.”

Ryan McHenry’s first Gosling cereal video was posted in 2013. Six months later, he was diagnosed with bone cancer, after finding a painful lump in his leg. Having gone from a virtual nobody, to internet infamy basically overnight, Ryan didn’t keep his diagnosis a secret, but instead found strengthin sharing his journey with the 200,000 plus people who followed his Gosling vines.

“A lot of my positivity has come down to knowing that I’ve got a small audience out there. I kind of feel like I need to be positive for them. If I was on my Twitter or on my Vine being really negative, like ‘this is the worst thing ever, this is horrible,’ it just wouldn’t be nice for people to hear.”

When he ultimately lost the two-year-long battle, fans took to twitter, asking Gosling to eat a bowl of cereal in memory of McHenry, and Ryan didn’t disappoint.

What resulted from Ryan Gosling’s 6-second video was a heartfelt tribute to a man who couldn’t have asked for anything more.

“As a filmmaker, I like to have a conclusion to things. The only conclusion I can see out of this whole thing is to have Ryan Gosling respond to this. Even if it’s just him eating cereal.”

Here’s to both Ryans. Thanks for making the world smile.
