Ryan Edwards and Maci Bookout called it quits years ago, but the Teen Mom OG star was still uneasy about revealing her baby news to her ex-boyfriend. After learning she was expecting her second child with Taylor McKinney during filming on the MTV series, Bookout had an on-camera meeting with Ryan Edwards to break the news.
According to an April 22 report by MTV News, Bookout was nervous to reveal the news of her second pregnancy to her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Edwards, and spoke of thoughts during a Teen Mom OG: Featured Moment .
“Telling [Ryan Edwards] I was pregnant … it was kind of indifference. For me, for myself, I didn’t care what he had to say. But I was worried for Bentley’s sake because that can get really, really sticky really fast.”
Throughout filming on Teen Mom OG , and during previous years on Teen Mom , Bookout has been seen on the outs with Ryan Edwards. Although the former couple have had their moments of civility, their relationship has been strained for the most part, and appears to have gotten worse as time has gone on.
Luckily, news of Bookout’s second child didn’t seem to make a negative impact on their situation. In fact, according to Bookout, it hardly made an impact at all.
“He was way more supportive and positive than I ever would have thought he was gonna be.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, both Ryan Edwards and Bookout have moved on from their relationship with new romances, and Bookout’s romance may soon turn into a marriage . During a Teen Mom OG: After Show earlier this month, Bookout revealed her plans to marry her boyfriend, Taylor McKinney, after they welcome their first child.
“We definitely want to marry each other. I definitely want to marry Taylor. But at the same time, to me marriage is about wanting to get married because you want to marry that person, not because you’re pregnant and you wanna rush into it.”
Bookout and McKinney’s baby girl is due in July.
Meanwhile, Ryan Edwards has been dating Shelby Woods on and off for nearly two years. After they began dating in the summer of 2013, Ryan Edwards and his on-screen love broke up a number of times, most recently late last year, but appear to be “on” at the moment.
