Robert Pattinson and FKA Twigs may be busy combating split rumors as of late, but it appears there may be more truth to the rumors than fans previously anticipated.
According to a source close to Pattinson and Twigs, the duo is struggling to continue with their wedding plans due to their hectic schedules.
A source explains to People that while Twigs decided to push back their wedding “until autumn at the earliest,” she and Pattinson have decided to call off the wedding until further notice due to conflicts in their work schedules.
The source explains that while the “wedding is off the agenda,” the duo “haven’t called off the engagement.”
Pattinson and Twigs first ignited romance rumors in September 2014 with reports confirming the duo’s engagement news in April of this year.
While the duo appears to be on the fast track to getting hitched, the source explains that Pattinson’s filming schedule and Twigs’ headlining gigs are creating “distance” in their relationship.
“They’ve definitely drifted and have barely spoken while he’s in Belfast and she’s been in the States,” the source explains, noting that Pattinson is busy filming The Lost City of Z for Brad Pitt’s production company in Ireland.
The source continues to explain that while Pattinson is filming his new project, Twigs is staying at the Twilight actor’s home in Los Angeles and is spending more time with her “Team Twigs,” explaining that “Rob has never been at ease with Twigs’ entourage.”
While it’s unclear why Pattinson is uncomfortable with Twigs’ team, the source further alleges that the increased distance will only continue to fuel split rumors and cause problems in the couple’s relationship.
The source confirms that following his time in Ireland, Pattinson will be jetting off to Colombia in October to film “in the jungle,” noting that the filming “is bound to create further distance between them.”
The news comes on the heels of rumors that suggest the couple is heading for a split in the near future.
Gossip Cop recently busted a rumor that suggested Pattinson is uncomfortable with Twigs’ “too sexy” on stage performances, where sources claimed the tension was creating problems in the couple’s relationship.
While sources have since busted the rumors, reports continue to allege that the tension in the couple’s romance only grows while they continue to spend more time apart.
