Rita Ora is opening up about her relationship with Calvin Harris. The “RIP” singer admitted that the DJ didn’t have her back, and that she is afraid of being alone for the rest of her life. Rita Ora also talked about her small part in the Jake Gyllenhaal boxer flick Southpaw .
Rita Ora, 24, posed in feminine fashions for the July issue of Marie Claire magazine . The British pop singer dished all when it came to her relationships and her career. Ora is excited to become the new face of Roberto Cavalli.
The singer previously dated Calvin Harris. She said that their breakup greatly affected her work. Ora admitted her mistake of mixing business with pleasure. Although the singer was enamored by Harris when they first started dating, she realized that he was no longer the man she once thought he was. It sounds like Harris didn’t support Ora , especially when it came to her blossoming music career.
“There was a reason why I split up with him. And there was a reason why I’m at this point in my life where I feel like I have so much musical freedom, and I don’t have to explain myself to anybody… It was more of a thing where I was in awe. I was at that point in my relationship where I felt he could do no wrong. I thought he had my back and that he’d never steer me wrong. But then ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ came out, and everything started to go a bit weird. I don’t know if it was because business was mixed with personal or what.”
Rita also revealed that she has a fear of “being alone.” She says that the reason she’s always linked to someone is because she enjoys being in relationships.
“I’m afraid of being alone… I’m not afraid to admit that, you know. I’m not embarrassed to admit that. I just hope it’s not a never-ending cycle. Sometimes love just makes you feel crazy. And that feeling that we have as girls, just to have that feeling, even for five seconds, it’s like crack. I mean, don’t compare it to that, but you know what I mean. It’s like comfort eating.”
Rita Ora has been linked to rapper Ricky Hill. Meanwhile, Calvin Harris has been dating Taylor Swift. The pair’s romance seems to be getting serious as several reports are claiming that Swift is getting ready to meet Harris’ family . Harris and Swift made their relationship public at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards. Harris has already met Swift’s friends and family members. It only makes sense that she would finally meet his family.
According to several insiders, the “Bad Blood” singer is about to embark on her 1989 World Tour in the U.K. Taylor will also meet Calvin’s family when she performs her next gig in Glasgow, Scotland, on June 23. According to one of the alleged sources, Calvin already has made plans.
“Calvin has hired the private dining room in the Ubiquitous Chip restaurant for the meeting. Taylor’s mum Andrea is also hoping to fly over between treatments for her cancer.”
Sounds like it’s getting serious. The couple were recently spotted at the Plan Check Kitchen and Bar in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to a Pop Sugar report. Taylor and Calvin were there with her star-studded girl squad . Taylor Swift’s crew decided to eat at the restaurant after partying it up at Jaime King’s baby shower.
Hopefully, Swift and Harris won’t end up mixing business with pleasure. It’s been rumored that the couple are also working on a song together. Would Swift go the EDM route after the success of her first pop album, 1989 ? Only time will.
