RHOC star Tamra Barney has reportedly received a 25 percent pay raise for her role on Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County . Although Bravo has yet to officially renew the series, Radar Online revealed on September 9 that the RHOC star has been rewarded substantially for being a part of the cast with a “hefty” new salary of $750,000.
“Tamra’s story lines are huge and she has a big following, so the producers decided to pay her more,” the source revealed, not clarifying whether or not the $750,000 was given to the RHOC star for Season 10, or if her new salary would go into fruition during Season 11.
According to the report, the RHOC star could use the extra cash. While Barney and her husband, Eddie Judge, run a fitness center in Southern California and have spoken about possibly expanding their business, the source claimed their income isn’t as much as one might think.
“Tamra needs the money. She isn’t raking in the big bucks with her gym and she hasn’t really branded herself as well as some of the other women on the show.”
With her reported new salary, RHOC star Barney is the second highest-paid woman on her cast. As fans would expect, the highest salary has been given to Vicki Gunvalson, who has been with the show since Season 1 and remains the longest-running Real Housewives star of all time.
“She’s making more than everyone except Vicki [Gunvalson]. She’s the second highest paid on the RHOC franchise.”
Throughout the 10th season of the Bravo reality show, the RHOC star has been in the midst of nearly everyone’s drama, although she doesn’t necessarily appear to be the root of any of it. Although Barney is involved in one of the most talked about storylines of the show, which is Brooks Ayers’ cancer diagnosis, she isn’t the one spreading rumors about the cancer being fake. When it comes to her personal life, the RHOC star has recently become a grandmother.
The RHOC star began starring on the show during its third season. At the time, she was married to Simon Barney, but seasons later, she announced plans for divorce and has since married Eddie Judge (their wedding was featured on Tamra’s OC Wedding , a Bravo special).
According to Celebrity Net Worth, the RHOC star is worth an estimated $800,000 . However, that amount appears to have been based on a salary of just $325,000 per season.
