RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards was arrested on Sunday, and now, it is being reported that she may have been intoxicated when she was taken into custody after allegedly shoplifting at a Target store in Los Angeles. On August 5, Real Mr. Housewife revealed new details regarding the incident, which spoke of alcohol being involved.
According to the site, “some reports” claim RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards “allegedly smelled of alcohol.”
RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards has been struggling with an addiction to alcohol for the last several years, and tragically suffered a relapse earlier this year, which she later admitted to during a Dr. Phil interview . During the show, which aired at the end of April, RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards claimed she’d used alcohol and pills in recent months, leading up to her arrest at the Beverly Hills Hotel on April 16.
On the night of her arrest, RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards claimed she drank a glass of vodka at her daughter’s house before driving to the hotel’s Polo Lounge, where she enjoyed a few more cocktails before being cut off by the bartender. When all was said and done, the reality star was charged with public intoxication, trespassing, resisting an officer, and battery on an officer.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards’ family is growing more and more concerned about her ongoing struggles, and is said to be considering a 5151 hold . On August 4, a source revealed the following to Radar Online.
“The [Richards family] believes that Kim has three options: 1. She goes back to rehab. 2. She’s put on a 5150 hold. 3. She could end up hospitalized from alcohol poisoning or pill overdose,” the source claimed.
RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards has been in rehab at least twice since her April 16 arrest, most recently spending a reported 30 days in a Malibu, California, facility.
“She sells her part of the house their mom left them to Kyle because she’s broke, then she resents Kyle for it. It is too much for the family to take. Her daughters all married men who are now multi-millionaires; her nieces are MEGA rich – and she’s stealing from Target?? Then blames everyone else? [The Richards family] doesn’t know what to do anymore. It’s incredible… When Monty [Brinson] dies, forget it. There are fears she’s going to breakdown something awful.”
RHOBH ‘s Kim Richards was reportedly fired from the show after its fifth season. Season 6 returns to Bravo this winter.
