Porsha Williams, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star who was demoted for having “boring storylines,” was arrested for speeding. Williams was pulled over in Atlanta because she was driving 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. According to the police, Williams was also driving with a suspended license. The reality TV personality was taken to jail and booked, but she was released after posting a $1,726 bond.

Williams spoke to Dish Nation about the incident. She said in the interview, “I was headed to visit my grandfather, who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over. I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused.”
Porsha added, “Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, I have my license, my car and my freedom.” This is Williams’ second arrest this year after she was charged with a misdemeanor count of battery after a fight during the taping of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show. During the time of the incident, Williams’ representatives released a statement saying, “Cast member Kenya Moore sought out the warrant and, although the claim is unfounded, Ms. Williams is fully cooperating with investigators and looks forward to clearing her name.”
Williams and Moore’s fight became one of the main threads in the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta . Williams and Moore appeared in a meeting organized by NeNe Leakes in an effort to make the other cast members sort out their issues and make peace. “I just want to give you a hug to show you I’m being sincere,” Moore said, to which Williams responded with, “What exactly are you being sincere about?”
The two eventually hashed it out, with both women claiming responsibility for their role in the fight. And while Williams refused to apologize, they did hug and it seems that all is well. According to Moore, “It’s much more powerful to take the initiative to forgive. And if anyone still wants to hate on me — haters gonna hate!”
Williams was married to football star Kordell Stewart, with their divorce being finalized December of last year. Williams and Stewart’s marriage practically happened on-camera. The two were married in a televised celebration aired on the show Platinum Weddings while the disintegration of their marriage was featured on the fifth and sixth seasons of Real Housewives of Atlanta .
