The reality star arrested recently in a public intoxication scene was none other than Kim Richards , from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills . Police were called to the Beverly Hills Hotel and reported Richards having “symptoms of alcohol intoxication,” which included “slurred speech” and “insolent behavior.” Richards was arrested and booked for her crimes.
According to TMZ , Richards was dealing with quite a few personal problems that likely led to her behavior and subsequent arrest on Thursday. The reality star is living with her ex-husband Monty, who is battling stage 4 cancer, and is also dealing with financial woes.
Richards also watched the Real Housewives of Beverly Hill reunion episodes and was deeply disappointed with Lisa Vanderpump and Lisa Rinna over their actions on the show.
Richards was mad because she thought that Vanderpump had sabotaged her relationship with her sister Kyle by telling Kyle that Richards didn’t want her at Brooke’s upcoming wedding. Meanwhile, her problems with Rinna stem from an argument between the two during a trip to Amsterdam. During the trip Rinna questioned Kim’s sobriety.
After the reality star arrested news broke, US Weekly reported that both Vanderpump and Rinna tweeted responses. “I was sad to hear about Kim’s incident and I wish her and her family the best,” Lisa Rinna stated, while Lisa Vanderpump chimed in, “U can’t help somebody til they want to help themselves, I know for sure that the sisters will always support each other when the time comes.”
Meanwhile, other, more supportive co-stars have also released statements in regards to the arrest of their fellow cast member. Richards is really close with fellow star Brandi Glanville, and Glanville took to social media to express her support, saying “Real friends are there in the good times, the bad times & especially the worst times. I am blessed with real friends & am a real friend myself.”
At the same time, Eileen Davidson tweeted, “I feel badly for Kim Richards and her family. My thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.”
Richards, as noted, was arrested for public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest, and battery after a drunken foray at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Police were called to scene and took Richards into custody after she displayed signs of intoxication. They then transported her to the local police station where Richards went on to kick an officer while being booked.
The reality star arrested was released after she posted $20,000 in bail and she is scheduled for a court hearing in Los Angeles on May 10.
