Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber) ended the fifth season by leaving everything behind and starting a brand new life in the coming Ray Donovan Season 6.
The professional fixer for the rich and the famous will be moving to New York City as he tries to move on from the tragic things that happened in his life in the previous season. Fans have seen him getting out of control after losing his wife, Abby (Paula Malcomson), to cancer while his family and business all fell apart.
So, as he is letting go of his past, Ray Donovan Season 6 is about to feature a different world and a spanking new story that will definitely give the television show a new twist. In fact, in an interview with TV Line , executive producer David Hollander revealed that there will be major changes happening in the coming new chapter.
“There are going to be a lot of changes,” he said. However, the story of Liev Schreiber’s character will remain the same, but viewers might see him adapting to the new world he is into just like how the New Yorkers inhabit their city. Will Ray have different work in the forthcoming chapter or will he stay as the professional fixer?

In a different interview with Entertainment Weekly , Hollander addressed the questions about Ray’s profession. He said that he will still be the fixer fans used to see, but he will be also trying his luck to do new things. Although he is professionally known, he has lost his clients and doesn’t have his own “foundation.” But, he has his skill sets and experiences as an enforcer, a thug, and a collector. These things will be Ray’s weapons to survive living in the Big Apple in Ray Donovan Season 6.
Hollander also added that Ray won’t have an easy life in New York City. He will be seen wandering the city on foot and will spend most of his time outside of the metropolis. Thus, fans should wait and see how Ray is going to change in the new environment and life he has. Also, viewers have to decipher how these things will affect the much-loved protagonist.
In less than no time, fans will once again see the return of Liev Schreiber as the professional fixer for the rich and famous. Ray Donovan Season 6 will begin its production in the first part of 2018 and set to be released later that year on Showtime.
