Ramona Singer experienced heartbreak last year after she discovered her husband, Mario, was allegedly having an affair. Now, months later, the Real Housewives of New York City star has moved on, and is said to be enjoying her new, single life.
“Now that I’m single, I’m definitely out there more I’m having fun,” Singer told E! News on March 17.
In August, after officially splitting from Mario, Ramona Singer opened up about her husband’s infidelities in a candid blog from Bravo.
“Having your husband betray you is the worst feeling in the world, and I wish it on no one. I feel like I was emotionally bruised for the past five months by Mario…I was in a fragile state.”
In early 2014, word hit the web, claiming Mario had engaged in an extramarital affair with the much younger Kasey Dexter, a blonde socialite from New York City. After hearing of the infidelity, Ramona Singer filed for divorce, but, months later, chose to give her husband a second chance. Then, in August, things took a turn for the worse and after calling off their marriage for good, Ramona Singer’s husband went public with his relationship with Dexter.
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Ramona Singer and her co-star, Bethenny Frankel, were seen having an intense conversation during filming on The Real Housewives of New York City earlier this year. However, according to E! News ‘ report, Frankel, along with other members of the cast, has been a support for Ramona Singer throughout her messy split.
“…All the women on the show, including LuAnn [de Lesseps], were supportive of my situation with Mario. Without them I would never have been able to handle what I was going through. I thank all my fellow Housewives for their support and continued support.”
During the Real Housewives of New York City Season 7 trailer, Ramona Singer and her co-star, Frankel, were seen bonding over their divorces. As fans will recall, Frankel split from her husband, Jason Hoppy, at the end of 2012, and despite years having passed, the couple have yet to finalize their divorce.
As for Ramona Singer’s own divorce proceedings, it is unclear whether or not fans will see details on the show. However, if it goes down anything like Frankel’s divorce has, there will certainly be tons of gossip circulating the web.
