Biggest Loser contestant Rachel Frederickson’s weight loss has had many talking since she was announced as this season’s winner. Many believe that Frederickson now is too thin.

In an earlier report by The Inquistr , Frederickson won $250,000 after shedding nearly 60 percent of her total body weight. Frederickson began the show weighing in at about 260 pounds and by the time her final weigh in came; she weighed a stunning 105 pounds! According to the report, Frederickson, 24, was a favorite all season on the Biggest Loser , as she represented women everywhere who want to get their lives back.

So was Frederickson’s weight loss really unhealthy for her? According to USA Today and Joy Bauer , nutrition/health expert for NBC’s Today show and creator of joybauer.com, says that “while it’s impossible and unfair to make judgment on someone’s weight without knowing all of the specifics, strictly from looking at her BMI and doing the math, Rachel does register as underweight for her height. That being said, she just lost a phenomenal amount of weight — truly an amazing accomplishment, so bravo.”

According to the Los Angeles Times , the Biggest Loser producers and NBC issued a joint statement Thursday morning that didn’t address Frederickson weight loss, but instead stated:

“We support Rachel and all of the ‘Biggest Loser’ contestants who have shared their journeys over the past 15 seasons. We remain committed to helping contestants achieve healthy weight loss and live healthier lifestyles, and to inspiring viewers to do the same.”

There have been mixed reviews about Frederickson’s weight loss, and many have taken to social media sites such as twitter to express what they feel. Check out what some had to say:

A true competitor in everything she does. Kudos to the talented, lovely Rachel Frederickson! @RachelInspires

I don’t think Rachel Frederickson lost too much weight. I think people should focus their time in the gym rather than bashing her success
