Portia de Rossi and her talk show host wife, Ellen DeGeneres, have been slightly out of the media’s beady eye recently after a spate of divorce rumors surrounding the couple.
Over the last few months, Hollywood’s most spoken about couple were receiving a lot of media attention, with allegations of cheating and drunken arguments making their way into the headlines as part of the ongoing divorce rumors.
As reported by RadarOnline , the allegations started when Portia de Rossi entered a Malibu rehab for her alcohol addiction. This sparked a bunch of other rumors concerning the way she was reportedly being controlled by Ellen.
A source has now revealed to the publication that the couple are now intent on stabilizing their relationship and making it stronger.
“Ellen says that she and Portia are doing so much better. Towards the end of last season everything was really taking a toll on her. While Portia was in treatment and everyone was predicting that they were getting a divorce, it was really hard. But thankfully, all of that has passed.”
Another celebrity publication, InTouch Weekly even reported that Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres are planning to start a family and have children together. So that’s way different to an imminent divorce.
An inside source told InTouch,
“All Portia can talk about is beginning a new chapter in their lives and starting a family. Portia made a video montage of Ellen with kids she’s interviewed over the years… It really choked Ellen up. Portia hugged her, whispering, ‘You’d be the best mother ever.’ She thinks a child will bond her and Ellen forever.”
The source also said that this time it’s for real, and the couple won’t be discussing a divorce of any kind for the time being, “Ellen says that she will be with Portia forever and that she puts her wife before anything, even her career,” the source said.
