North West and Penelope Disick are showing their love of fashion at early ages, but are they already believing that all is fair and love and war?
North’s aunt, Kourtney Kardashian, told Harper’s Bazaar the toddler and her own daughter, Penelope Disick, fight over shoes already , but 1-year-old North and 2-year-old Penelope still come out as the best of friends.
Kourtney said the little shoe battle reminded her of the days when she and Kim Kardashian-West used to fight over shoes.
“Last night North was over and they were fighting over shoes in Penelope’s closet and they were so cute. By the end they were sharing and trying the shoes on each other and having so much fun. It reminds me of how Kim and I were when we were little girls.”
According to ET Online , Kourtney loves watching North West and her daughter play together because it takes her back to the times she played with her sisters in her own mother’s closet .
“I remember playing in my mom’s closet with Kim as little girls — we had this game we played, I was Donna Karan and she was my assistant, and I was really bossy,” Kourtney remembered about her childhood and Kris Jenner’s closet. “We would always hear my mom talk about designers, and she had all this designer vintage, but it wasn’t vintage at the time — a lot of Chanel — such great clothes, shoes, jewelry. We had so much fun playing in her closet.”
Kourtney noted North West has her own personality, which Kim tries to showcase in the outfits she chooses for her to wear. Oftentimes Kim will pick something for North which is too girly, and so Kim will end up giving the item to Penelope.
North West is usually dressed in neutral colors, but her older cousin likes prints and bolder colors.
Penelope is at the age where she is figuring out what style she likes to wear, and sometimes she will take up to an hour on deciding what she wants to put together for herself.
“I love going through that process with her,” Kourtney admitted.
It will be interesting to see how North West and Penelope Disick’s styles change over the years as they get older and if they continue to fight over the shoes in each other’s closets.
